I've been up late finishing a little project for Henry's classmates as tomorrow is their last day of school (boo!) - I wanted to put together a little photo collage for them to remember the school year. I can't believe they are off to kindergarten in the fall. Tomorrow Nora and I are accompanying his class to the Portland Aquarium (our first time going) and then the entire school is meeting for an end of the year graduation ceremony and picnic. With this terrible weather it will have to be an indoor picnic, but it should be fun nonetheless.
Nora is able to scoot herself around pretty well on her bum in a seated position. Luckily she doesn't do it all the time - only when there's something out of her reach that she really wants to get. She has an easier time doing it on a hard floor surface rather than the carpet which means she does it even less around our house (since it's mostly carpet where she hangs out). We stayed at Cary and Jeff's house this weekend to take care of their dogs and she got lots of scooting practice on their hardwoods. She also has started to give kisses...sort of. If I say "kiss?" she'll tilt her chin up and open her mouth. At least sometimes - not every time, but with regularity. It's so darn cute!
Not so many good pictures to choose from this week - I love the one of her with the peonies from our yard. In her highchair eating mandarin oranges (which she LOVES) and finally not a great one of her in her exersaucer...but I wanted to show just how big she is! She is in 9 month size clothing and I think she probably could wear some 12 month stuff.
